Creativity is my happy place

When I am writing, cooking, gardening, painting, or making pottery I am in my happy place. The worries, fears, and pain of normal life fall away, if only for a few moments. It is in these moments that I am fully alive and in the moment.

I can picture another world. A world where gulls gossip.

A world where geese stroll through the garden.

Aside from these flights of fancy, the real life pleasures of a meal well cooked, or a garden designed for the enhancement of nature fill me with a level of peace that keeps my soul nourished.
